In form Ashley Young is likely to be missing for Manchester United when Tottenham visit Old Trafford on Sunday.

The winger picked up a knock in the 2-1 FA Cup defeat by Arsenal on Monday and is now a doubt for the Premier League clash.

Young will be assessed this week before United coach Louis van Gaal decides on his inclusion in a match that could prove decisive for both sides’ hopes of securing Champions League football next season.

Fourth-placed United are currently three points and two places above Spurs, who have left Old Trafford with three points on each of their last two League visits.
