Manchester United vs Yeovil in FA Cup fourth round draw

Tom Doyle8 January 2018

Manchester United face a trip to League Two side Yeovil in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Yeovil will host United in the Cup for the second time in four seasons having been pitted against Jose Mourinho's men in the fourth round.

The Glovers - who beat Bradofrd in the third round - were the lowest-ranked side in Monday night's draw and were handed a home clash with the 12-time winners, as they were in 2015 when United won 2-0 thanks to goals from Ander Herrera and Angel Di Maria.

United reached round four after Jesse Lingard's latest scintillating strike and substitute Romelu Lukaku's late effort secured United a 2-0 victory over Derby on Friday night.

Both attempts, which came in the final six minutes, were highlight-worthy goals in the first FA Cup tie involving United in 13 years not to be televised live.

United had lost just one of their previous 35 FA Cup games against lower-league sides but were heading for a replay until one-time Rams loanee Lingard, with his eighth goal in 10 games, smashed home a swerving volley, with Lukaku then adding a second having broken from the halfway line.

Last month's EFL Cup exit and a 15-point deficit to Manchester City in the Premier League had placed extra importance on this competition, and that was evident with the strong line-up Jose Mourinho deployed.

Fourth round ties will be played across the weekend of 26-29 January.
