Juventus star Andrea Pirlo 'can't see' Paul Pogba returning to Manchester United, insisting the Premier League side must 'live with their mistake'.

Pogba left Old Trafford back in 2012 after finding himself frustrated by a lack of opportunities under then boss Sir Alex Ferguson, making the move to Juventus in the summer.

The midfielder quickly established himself in the first team - winning two Serie A titles by the age of 21 - forcing his way into the France national team in the process.

Chelsea are long term admirers of the Frenchman, but this window has seen him heavily linked with a return to Old Trafford, as Louis van Gaal looks to continue rejuvenating his squad.

But Juventus teammate Andrea Pirlo believes United have missed their chance with Pogba, insisting that he cannot see him returning to Old Trafford.

"For whatever reasons they [Manchester United] chose not to give him a chance, and that is a mistake they will have to live with now," Pirlo told Telefoot.

"I can’t see that he [Pogba] will ever return to Manchester United."
