Manchester City have almost a clean bill of health for today’s Premier League clash with Watford.

While options were reasonably light for Pep Guardiola in the midweek win over Aston Villa, only Ferran Torres remains sidelined for the trip to Vicarage Road in the late Saturday kick-off, although Kevin De Bruyne does not start having only recently recovered from Covid-19.

Such news is no doubt alarming for Claudio Ranieri’s men. While they have beaten Manchester United and run Chelsea close in recent weeks, Watford have one of the worst defences in the league this season, with only Newcastle and Norwich having conceded more often.

With City in the late kick-off, they will know a win or not sends them top of the Premier League. For Watford, they could be dragged into the relegation mire after Newcastle’s win.

Man City starting XI: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Laporte, Joao Cancelo, Gundogan, Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Sterling, Foden, Grealish

Injured: Ferran Torres (foot)
