Two of the Premier League’s biggest title contenders meet at Anfield on Saturday as Liverpool host Chelsea.

Here’s where the clash will be won or lost...

Alonso vs Salah

Ben Chilwell has not played since the Champions League Final victory against Manchester City and was left out of the England squad yesterday.

Marcos Alonso impressed on the opening day against Crystal Palace and kept his place for the win over Arsenal but Thomas Tuchel will be tempted by Chilwell's superior physicality and defensive nous against Mohamed Salah.

If Chilwell is overlooked again, it may raise questions.

James vs Robertson

Reece James was superb in the win at Arsenal last weekend, creating one goal and scoring the other.

The right-back could explode as an attacking force this season but he will be up against the outstanding left-back Andy Robertson, who signed a new contract this week.

Both will try to force the other onto the back foot.

Henderson vs Jorginho

Liverpool must get their press spot on or risk Chelsea threading passes in behind their high line — as the Blues did at their win at Anfield last season.

Jordan Henderson will marshal the Reds' efforts and will be looking to shut down Jorginho, Chelsea's midfield metronome. Revenge is also on the cards for the Liverpool captain after Italy's win in the Euros.
