Kenny Jackett: I won't let captain Paul Robinson go

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has firmly rejected Reading's audacious bid for captain Paul Robinson.

The centre-back impressed Reading boss Brian McDermott when the clubs drew 2-2 on the opening day of the season.

But Jackett said: "The offer we have received falls way below my valuation of him. We are not looking to sell Paul, nor am I under pressure to sell him."

Reading have money to spend following the sales of Shane Long and Matthew Mills but Jackett, preparing for tonight's Carling Cup game at home to Morecambe, added: "I know every player has his price. Were we to accept, it would have to reflect the current market in the Championship, which is very high."
