John Bostock urged Brentford's supporters not to get too carried away after he made an excellent start to his loan spell by scoring twice on his debut.
Bostock, 17, is on loan from Tottenham to get him playing first-team football and he wasted no time in impressing his new team-mates with two goals inside the first 25 minutes against Millwall - including one direct from a corner.
He said: "It's a great start but people are going to have high expectations of me now, so I have to keep cracking on. It's only my third full 90 minutes of the season. I was out injured for nine weeks. It has been difficult, but it's a starting point."
Millwall captain Paul Robinson had cancelled out Bostock's opening goal, while James Henry earned Millwall a share of the points with a late leveller.
Brentford manager Andy Scott felt his side deserved all three points but was nonetheless impressed by Bostock (right).
Scott said: "John Bostock is a special player, we are delighted Tottenham have allowed him to come here and it is an opportunity for him to play."
Millwall manager Kenny Jackett admitted his side were slightly fortunate but added: "We didn't give up and had a good final half-an-hour which meant we got the point that our hard work deserved."
