Japhet Tanganga is expected to be the latest Tottenham player to sign a new long-term contract.
Tanganga's current deal expires at the end of next season but he is close to agreeing fresh terms, which are expected to run until 2024 and significantly increase his current £1k per week wages.
Spurs have already tied Oliver Skipp and Eric Dier to new deals until 2024 as Jose Mourinho looks to secure the futures of the core of his squad.
Tanganga has been one of the biggest positives from Tottenham's season after establishing himself in Mourinho's first team squad following a surprise Premier League debut in January's defeat to Liverpool. The defender made his club bow under Mauricio Pochettino in a League Cup defeat at Colchester in September.
The homegrown 21-year-old, who can play across the back four, has previously said he would be happy to remain at Spurs for life.
"This club is fantastic, the staff, the coaches, everyone has just helped me. The club means a lot to me, having been with them for so long," he said in January.
"Of course I’d love to stay with them as long as I could and go on until I retire. But that’s for the club to deal with me and for me to focus on the pitch and deliver as much as I possibly can."
Tanganga has yet to feature since the restart but has been on the bench for Spurs last two matches after recovering from a stress fracture to his back.
