Eric Lamela is hoping to hit the ground when the new Premier League kicks off, insisting that he's fit and ready to impress after a difficult first season at Tottenham.
The Argentine, signed from Roma last summer in a club-record £30million deal, only managed 17 appearances for Tottenham - and hasn't featured for the club since December 29.
Homesickness, and a reported desire to leave England, saw him attract the interests of Serie A giants Inter Milan, but Spurs have stood firm with their desire to keep Lamela, and the 22-year-old is keen to repay the club's patience next season.

“I hope to show everyone what I can do, especially for the fans and of course for the club," Lamela told the club's official website.
"I’m grateful to the fans for their affection, that’s very important for me," he continued. “I feel really good, I feel fit and I hope it will be a good season ahead."
“Hopefully I will get the chance to play and then I will try and perform as well as I can.”
