Hugo Lloris: It will all be over for Spurs if we don’t win

Hugo Lloris believes Tottenham will have no chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League if they fail to beat Southampton tomorrow.

Spurs are fighting with Arsenal and Chelsea for third and fourth spots and they are currently fifth, two points adrift of the Gunners, who have played a game more, and three points behind Chelsea.

Their match at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday could prove decisive but Lloris admits it will count for little if Andre Villas-Boas’s team cannot collect three points tomorrow — and he knows Spurs will need triple Player of the Year Gareth Bale to be on top form.

“I want to be in the next Champions League but if we don’t get three points against Southampton, our opportunity will be finished,” said Lloris. “As for Gareth, he has helped us get into this situation and I’m sure he will help us realise our objectives. We need him if we are to win the next four games and finish in the top four,” the keeper told Sky Sports.

Meanwhile, representatives from the Tottenham Supporters’ Trust will meet club officials before tomorrow’s match to discuss their concerns about ticketing arrangements for next season.

Trust members expect to hold talks with Jonathan Waite, Tottenham’s supporter liaison officer, and Ian Murphy, the club’s head of ticketing and membership, regarding Spurs’s partnership with StubHub for the 2013-14 campaign.

StubHub is a ticket exchange service that enables fans to buy and sell tickets for sporting events.
