Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has continued his comeback from a fractured wrist after completing 90 minutes for the club's Under-21 side on Monday afternoon.

The France international suffered the injury during the summer and it significantly restricted his involvement in Mauricio Pochettino's pre-season preparations.

The 28-year-old featured in the closing stages of the north London club's victory over AC Milan in Tottenham's final warm up fixture last week, but was not fit enough to start Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Manchester United.

Lloris watched on from the substitues bench as his deputy Michel Vorm was unable to keep out Kyle Walker's own goal, which proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Although the Frenchman was unable to play at Old Trafford he came through today's 4-1 victory over Everton alongside the club's youngsters unscathed and could now be in line to return to the Spurs first-team during next weekend's clash against Stoke City at White Hart Lane.

Lloris made 35 Premier League appearances for Spurs last season, a tally that could only be bettered by Christian Eriksen, and his return would offer the Tottenham defence a sizeable boost ahead of their second fixture of the season.
