Super Victor may be the face of Euro 2016 but parents have been in for an unfortunate shock if they’ve been searching online to find a toy of the tournament’s mascot.

Type ‘Super Victor toy’ into Google and you could be in for an unfortunate shock, with a host of websites selling a sex toy, not a plush version of the mascot.

In a statement European football’s governing body said: “All we can say is that [the sex aids] are not produced by Uefa.”

The name of the toy had been chosen in a online poll with over 100,000 votes, Super Victor taking 48 per cent of the ballot to beat Goalix and Driblou.

Super Victor is described as a small boy whose cape contains superpowers that enable him to “fly up high into the sky and travel all around the globe at super-fast speeds”.

The mascot also has his own Twitter account (@supervictor) but is yet to address the controversy around his name.
