Eric Dier insists Tottenham are focused on "bigger" targets after ending Chelsea's 13-game winning streak.

Antonio Conte's Premier League pace-setters dropped points for the first time since a 3-0 loss at Arsenal in September after a header in each half from Dele Alli saw Spurs run out deserved 2-0 winners.

"This game was huge for us for many different reasons, with the history," Dier told Sky Sports.

"To stop their winning streak - that was nice.

"Their are bigger things in our minds than stopping Chelsea. Hopefully we can kick on even further."

He added: "The first half we were testing each other, playing the same formation.

"Thankfully we got the goal before half-time and that settled everything."

Dier started in defence for the 16th time this season as Mauricio Pochettino again opted for a three-man defence, ahead of a midfield two of Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele.

After establishing himself as a defensive midfielder last season, Dier insists he is happy to contribute anywhere on the pitch.

"I'm happy to be playing wherever," he continued. "That gives the club some versatility and lots of options."
