Liverpool were the only big-name casualty of the EFL Cup third round as the favourites for the competition remained in the fight heading into the fourth round.

Tottenham beat Barnsley at Wembley, as the Reds lost to Leicester City, on Tuesday before Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City made easy work of their opponents on Wednesday.

Kenedy and Charly Musonda were among the scorers as Nottingham Forest were beaten 5-1 at Stamford Bridge, before Marcus Rashford notched twice as Burton Albion were dispatched at Old Trafford.

Theo Walcott was the difference at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal beat Doncaster Rovers to join the hat for the fourth round.
