West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan believes the Hammers will benefit from Chelsea’s midweek trip to Ukraine.

Chelsea drew 0-0 away at Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League last night and they travel to Upton Park on Saturday.

Writing in his column on the club's website, Sullivan said: “We now have another big game against Chelsea on Saturday and the bookies make us 7-2 to win.

“Chelsea are 9-10 on. I think the odds on us are generous with Chelsea travelling to Ukraine to play in the Champions League.”

Sullivan has also compared attacking midfielder Manuel Lanzini with Real Madrid’s Luka Modric.

He said: “Before he went to the UAE he was regarded as the next Messi in Argentina. We see him more as a Luka Modric who scores goals.

“I am sure the supporters would have been impressed once again by his performance against Palace and he is improving with every game. He could turn out to be very special.”
