Crystal Palace have become the first of London’s Premier League clubs to unveil their kit for the 2017-18 season.

The home shirt marks a return to the red and blue stripes that have been a defining aspect of the Eagles’ kit since 1973.

Last season saw Macron produce a home shirt with a solid block of blue on the shirt, a decision that was unpopular with many fans.

This year the manufacturers have returned to the traditional red and blue stripes with yellow piping around the neck.

Christian Benteke, Wilfried Zaha, Scott Dann, Jason Puncheon and Andros Townsend were all photographed in the new kit in a 'secret subway' in Crystal Palace park, one of the last remaining structures from the famous exhibition centre that burned down in 1936.

Chairman Steve Parish said: "We are incredibly proud of our South London roots and wanted to celebrate this in our new home kit design."

The shirt is currently without a sponsor logo as Palace are yet to negotiate a successor to Mansion, who were on the shirt for the last two years.
