Crystal Palace will resist any offers for Wilfried Zaha in January.

Manchester City have reportedly joined the clubs interested in the winger and are considering a move for him.

Chelsea have this week also been linked with Zaha and Roy Hodgson has admitted clubs may move for the 25-year-old when transfer window reopens.

It has been reported City see Zaha as an alternative option to Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez. But Palace have made it clear Zaha, who signed a five-year contract last summer, is not for sale as he is crucial to their hopes of avoiding relegation. He has scored four times this season and Palace will need his goalscoring threat at Swansea on Saturday with Christian Benteke suspended after receiving five yellow cards.

Zaha has been playing up front alongside Benteke and will again lead the line at the Liberty Stadium.

Meanwhile, Hodgson is weighing up whether or not to strip Jason Puncheon of the Crystal Palace captaincy after the midfielder was arrested for allegedly fighting outside a nightclub.
