Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has withdrawn from the England Under-21 squad due to injury.

Palace confirmed in a short statement the 20-year-old injured his shoulder during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Tottenham at Selhurst Park.

“Aaron is having further investigations and assessment, and has been withdrawn from the England U21 camp,” the club confirmed.

Aidy Boothroyd’s side are in action against Italy and Demark on November 15 and November 20 respectively.

Wan-Bissaka completed the full 90 minutes of Saturday’s defeat to Spurs.

The youngster has made the right-back position his own after a promising breakthrough last season with Palace boss Roy Hodgson dismissing the possibility of him moving on any time soon.

“As far as we're concerned of course we have him as our player, he's under contract with us and we have no desire or intention of selling him so it's certainly not anything which occupies my waking moments or sleeping moments either for that matter," Hodgson said.
