Cristiano Ronaldo 'is a joke!' - football world reacts to Real Madrid star's incredible bicycle kick goal vs Juventus

It takes a lot for a devoted home crowd to applaud the opposition team's best player - but then again, Cristiano Ronaldo is no ordinary player.

The Real Madrid star had already broken yet another record against Juventus on Tuesday night as he struck a third-minute goal to become the first player to score in 10 consecutive Champions League games.

But a man like Ronaldo is never satisfied, and his second goal of the night could well turn out to be the best of an illustrious career.

A mix-up between Chiellini and Buffon saw substitute Lucas Vazquez denied by a flying recovery save from the goalkeeper.

Buffon, though, could only stand and watch as Dani Carvajal floated a cross in from the right which Ronaldo, with his back to goal, dispatched into the top corner with a perfectly-executed overhead kick.

The calibre of the finish left Real coach Zinedine Zidane shaking his head in disbelief, while the Juve fans applauded in stunned admiration.

Ronaldo thanked the Juve supporters for their praise, while Marcelo added a third for Real to effectively wrap up the tie as a contest with a 3-0 first-leg win.

Needless to say, Ronaldo's goal was the obvious talking point of the night...
