Manchester City vs Tottenham: Who makes our combined XI?

Tottenham would have travelled to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City as underdogs in years gone by but do so as their opponents' superiors this weekend.

Mauricio Pochettino's side sit one point and two places ahead of the expensively assembled Citizens, for whom a mere top-four finish would be seen as regression.

The difference between the two teams may be marginal - and their places in the standings may have been reversed come Sunday evening - but Spurs ran out comfortable winners at White Hart Lane last September.

A repeat performance of the emphatic 4-1 victory this time around would see the north Londoners' bandwagon gain pace and City's hopes of lifting a third title deflate.

But are Spurs really on City's level? Do any of Pochettino's young academy graduates outclass Pellegrini's array of big-money buys?

Or do City still dominate even though they have been inconsistent when compared to the north Londoners?

Well, Standard Sport has assembled a combined Manchester City-Tottenham XI, based only on those who are currently fit, to see which players have enough in their locker to be included in one united side.
