Coaching? Don’t give up your day job, Joey Barton

Joey Barton wants to be a manager when he hangs up his boots . . . but it’s unlikely he’ll be following Phil Neville into the England coaching set up.

Barton was one of many players to congratulate Neville on his addition to the England Under-21 coaching staff for this summer’s European Championship in Israel.

He told Neville: “Doing my A and B badges in the summer. Only 30, feel 21. Got at least 15 years left playing.”

However, his tweet followed an earlier rant about the Football Association following their decision not to charge Callum McManaman for his challenge on Newcastle’s Massadio Haidara in which he said the governing body havent got “a clue” and that England are “s***e at all levels”.
