Chelsea will have to pay Juventus a massive £63m if they want to pursue their interest in their star midfielder Paul Pogba next summer.
Pogba was one of Chelsea’s main targets during the last transfer window, but were unable to agree a fee with the Italian Giants.
Juventus have now secured the 21‑year‑old on a lucrative long-term contract, making it even harder for the Blues to prise Pogba away.
They have given him a five-year deal which includes a clause where they would demand £63m should another club try to buy him.
They have also increased his salary from a rather meagre £23,000-a-week to £68,000-a-week after tax, which is the same as star striker Carlos Tevez and more than Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal.
Pogba is rated as one of the best midfielders in Europe and manager Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of the former Manchester United star.

But his price tag may scare Chelsea off once and for all. The Blues are already looking to offer Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira a pre-contract in January in the hope of signing him on a free transfer next year.
They have also begun scouting Marseille youngster Gianelli Imbula once again, suggesting they have given up on plans to buy Pogba any time soon.
The 22-year-old Imbula proved a success last season making 33 appearances following his £6m move from Guingamp.
He has four years remaining on his contract and is said to be valued at £25m by Marseille.
