Chelsea's highly-rated youngster Tammy Abraham has received a double dose of good news today after receiving his first England Under-21 call-up and being named as the PFA Championship Player of the Month for August and September.

The 18-year-old has been rewarded for his superb start to his season-long loan at Bristol City - which has seen the forward score 10 goals so far - with a call-up to the 22-man England U21 squad that will face Kazakhstan and Bosnia & Herzegovina in the nation's final Euro qualifiers next month.

Abraham, who earlier today was named as the PFA fans' Player of the Month for August and September, will join his Chelsea colleagues Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Nathaniel Chalobah and Lewis Baker in the team as U20s boss Aidy Boothroyd takes charge following Gareth Southgate's move to the senior side on a temporary basis.

The team will travel to first take on Kazakhstan in Aktobe on Thursday 6 October before hosting Bosnia & Herzegovina at Banks's Stadium, Walsall on Tuesday 11 October.

A result in either of those two matches will see England U21s qualify for next summer's Euro finals in Poland.
