New Wave: Chelsea's third incorporates a 'soundwave' graphic (ChelseaFC)
Standard Sport23 July 2014

Chelsea have released their third kit ahead of the new 2014-15 season.

The shirt, which features a 'soundwave graphic', includes the first use of dark navy since Chelsea's successful 2009-10 campaign, in which they won the Premier League and FA Cup double under then manager Carlo Ancelotti.

"The new shirt will be among the lightest Chelsea shirts ever produced," read a statement on the club's official website. "It features the latest in adiZero lightweight technology and an electric blue adidas Powerband across the upper back to aid stability."

Chelsea kick-off the season with an away match against Burnley on August 23, after what has been an extremely active summer in the transfer market.

Having permitted the £50million sale of defender David Luiz to PSG, Jose Mourinho has revamped his squad with the signings of Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis, while Samuel Eto’o, Ashley Cole, and Frank Lampard have also left Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea's new kit will be available at www.chelseafc.com/foreverblue and in stores as of August 6
