The group stages of the Champions League concluded with Wednesday’s European fixtures.

The draw for the round of 16 will be held on Monday December 16 at 11am in Nyon and three English sides progressed to the last 16 after successful group campaigns.

Chelsea qualified as winners of Group D ahead of Schalke, while Manchester City and Arsenal did enough to secure runners-up spot behind Bundesliga clubs Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

None of the Premier League sides can be drawn together as they are attached to the same football association, while Jose Mourinho’s men can’t draw Schalke as they qualified from the same group.

Below are all the sides to have progressed, plus the Blues possible opponents as they look to progress beyond the round of 16 for the third time in five years.

Group Winners: Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Monaco, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Chelsea, Porto

Runners-up: Juventus, Basle, Bayer Leverkusen, Arsenal, Manchester City, Paris St-Germain, Schalke, Shakhtar Donetsk.
