Chelsea are a great team, admits target Geoffrey Kondogbia

French midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia has welcomed interest from Chelsea.

Kondogbia, who is currently at the U20 World Cup with France, was extensively scouted by Chelsea before the arrival of new manager Jose Mourinho and has just completed his first season at Sevilla.

The Blues are likely to face competition with Real Madrid for the gifted 20-year-old, who says he is keeping his future options open.

"I am flattered to be linked with Real Madrid," Kondogbia said. "They are a top club, but Sevilla are fantastic for me at the moment.

"Chelsea are also a great team with a great manager, so let's wait and see what will happen after the World Cup.

Part of a promising generation of young French players, Kondogbia is yet to secure a full France international cap.
