Charlton striker Igor Vetokele is struggling to be fit for Sunday’s League One Play-Off Final.

Vetokele has been out for a month with a thigh injury and he is losing his battle to return in time to face Sunderland at Wembley.

The Angolan had struck up a good partnership with Lyle Taylor, scoring twice in three games before his injury, but he missed both legs of the play-off semi-finals against Doncaster.

Vetokele is out of contract this summer and his future is uncertain. The 27-year-old is one of the biggest earners at Charlton, having signed a five-year contract when they were still in the Championship.

Josh Parker started against Doncaster in Vetokele’s absence. The January signing has failed to score since joining from Gillingham.

Charlton manager Lee Bowyer will take the Addicks squad to Wembley before Sunday to help them get used to the venue. Charlton have not played at the National Stadium since 1998. The club was given a Wembley allocation of 36,918 for Sunday but has since been given an extra 2,091 tickets
