The final round of fixtures in this season’s Champions League group stage gets underway on Tuesday night, with Manchester United’s fate yet to be decided.
So far, nine teams have booked their place in the last-16, including the other three English representatives - Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea - and defending champions Bayern Munich.
That quartet have already guaranteed their status as group winners, while Porto, Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Juventus are also through.
United, however, could yet find themselves playing Europa League football in the New Year if things do not go their way tonight, after defeat to PSG last week left Group H finely poised, with three teams going into the final day level on nine points.

Solskjaer’s men need just a point away at RB Leipzig to qualify for the last-16.
To win the group, United must avoid defeat and hope that PSG fail to beat bottom side Istanbul Basaksehir.
If PSG beat the Turkish outfit, they will win the group, but a point would still be enough for United to go through in second by virtue of their stronger head-to-head record against Leipzig, who would finish on the same number of points.
Defeat in Germany, however, would definitely see United eliminated, even if PSG were to also lose, with the French side’s 3-1 win at Old Trafford giving them the superior head-to-head record.
