Cesc Fabregas has said that he will do all he can to help Chelsea win the Champions League, starting with beating Paris St Germain in their last 16 second leg match on Wednesday night.

The tie is locked at 1-1 and the Blues will win the game on away goals if it finishes as a goalless draw.

But the Spanish midfielder, who has won the World Cup but not the Champions League during his illustrious career, said he knows how much it would mean to blow Laurent Blanc's side away and progress further into the tournament.

"Physically and mentally I will give everything for Chelsea to win it," he told reports. "It's special to me. If you ask any footballer what they want to win they'll say the World Cup or Champions League.

"Hopefully tomorrow we can go through to the next round. We just have to take it to the next level tomorrow and we have to make it happen."

Fabregas was part of Spain's World Cup winning side in 2010. He understands what it takes to win big trophies and suggested that if Chelsea go on to win the Champions League this season they may dominate European football for some time.

"From my experience especially with the national team, we lost fear when we won and once we were champions we were unstoppable," he continued. "That's what we have to do here when we are out on the pitch tomorrow we need to believe that we are the best and we need to find that killer instinct."
