Bookies suspend betting on Jose Mourinho leaving Chelsea after Liverpool defeat

Betting has been suspended on Jose Mourinho leaving Chelsea following Saturday's defeat to Liverpool.

The Blues fell to their sixtrh league defeat of the season despite taking an early lead through Ramires at Stamford Bridge. A Philippe Coutinho double and a third from Christian Benteke put the game beyond the Blues as the pressure mounted on Mourinho.

The west Londoners remain 15th in the table but have managed just 11 points from as many games in the top flight this term and they remain nine points off the top four.

And Ladbrokes have opted to 'take a breather' as they weigh up the current situation at Stamford Bridge.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "Following the result we've decided to pause and take a breaker with our next boss to go market while we wait for further news. Meanwhile, Ancelotti appears to be making headway in the race to replace Mourinho as and when he does leave."
