Barcelona vs Napoli: Quique Setien not thinking Champions League tie could be his last game as Camp Nou coach

Barcelona coach Quique Setien says he is not thinking that Saturday's Champions League last-16 second leg against Napoli could be his last game for the Catalan club.

Setien took over from Ernesto Valverde in January with Barca on top of LaLiga, but was unable to claim the title as Real Madrid came out on top.

The 61-year-old is now under scrutiny ahead of the Champions League and would be unlikely to stay on if Barca fail to overcome Napoli at Camp Nou on Saturday.

"I knew I would be asked this question," Setien said in the pre-match press conference on Friday when quizzed about his future.

"The possibility that this could be my last match hasn't crossed my mind at any moment."

Barca suffered heavy defeats to Roma and Liverpool in Europe in the last two seasons and Setien was asked if the team had worked on the psychological aspect.

"Of course, we try to work on everything," he said. "And to talk to the footballers so that they are in the best possible condition.

"The reality is that it's surely not necessary to look for that motivation that they all intrinsically have.

"Because these players have played on hundreds of occasions.

"They are great footballers. We have a dream forward line. The motivation is always there and you expect the best version of them all."

Barca and Napoli drew 1-1 in the first leg in Italy prior to lockdown.
