Barcelona have admitted they are working on the exit of Arturo Vidal as Inter Milan close in on a deal to sign the Chile midfielder.

Vidal has spent the last two seasons at Barca after signing from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2018, but is not part of new coach Ronald Koeman's plans for the 2020-21 campaign.

Asked on Tuesday whether a move to Inter was imminent for the 33-year-old, Barca's technical secretary Ramon Planes said: "It's not done.

"We have to be grateful to Arturo, a player with enormous heart and commitment, for what he has given us these years.

"We are advancing in his possible exit, but there is nothing closed yet. The market is difficult because of coronavirus and we have to have a lot of patience."

Vidal scored 11 goals in 96 official appearances for Barcelona, winning one LaLiga title and a Spanish Supercopa in his time at Camp Nou.
