AS Monaco vs Tottenham team news: Harry Kane and Harry Winks start vital Champions League clash

Standard Sport22 November 2016

Mauricio Pochettino has decided to start Harry Kane in Tottenham's vital Champions League clash against AS Monaco tonight, despite concerns over the striker's fitness.

Kane starred with two late goals for Spurs to earn a dramatic 3-2 Premier League win against West Ham on Saturday, making it three goals in two games since his comeback from a seven-week ankle ligament layoff.

Pochettino said he was doubtful whether the forward could play three big games in a week with Chelsea up next after Tuesday's trip to Monaco, but Kane leads the line with Spurs' European hopes on the line while Harry Winks, who scored on his Premier League debut on Saturday, also makes the cut.

Spurs XI: Lloris, Trippier, Dier, Wimmer, Rose, Wanyama, Dembele, Winks, Son, Dele, Kane.

Subs: Vorm, Vertonghen, Walker, Eriksen, Sissoko, Nkoudou, Janssen.

Monaco XI: Subasic, Jemerson, Glik, Mendy, Sidibé, Bakayoko, Fabinho, Lemar, Silva, Germain, Falcao.

Subs: De Sanctis, Moutinho, Carrillo, Raggi, Boschilia, Mbappé, Diallo.
