Arsenal have launched an investigation into a social media post which appears to show Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly being racially abused during the Gunners’ Europa League win last night.

Unai Emery’s side took a healthy first leg lead in their quarter-final tie against the Serie A side courtesy of Aaron Ramsey’s 14th-minute strike and a Koulibaly own goal but the match was overshadowed by the latest allegation of discrimination which has blighted football this season.

The 15-second Snapchat video – which as of this morning had more than 77,000 views on Twitter – shows a fan inside the stadium filming the game and allegedly saying ‘Koulibaly is a f***ing n****r.

An Arsenal spokesman told Standard Sport: “We utterly condemn the use of any racist language and have launched an investigation to identify the culprit.

We operate a zero tolerance approach and anyone behaving like this is not welcome at Arsenal and will be banned from matches.
