Arsenal vs Chelsea: Petr Cech or Thibaut Courtois - who is better?

Arsenal host champions Chelsea on Sunday in a game that will undoubtedly raise the debate about who is the better goalkeeper at the moment: Petr Cech or Thibaut Courtois.

Cech has been in fine form since sealing a switch from Chelsea to Arsenal last summer after Courtois usurped him and cemented his place as the Blues' No.1 shot-stopper at Stamford Bridge.

The experienced Cech has brought stability and confidence to the Gunners' back line this season, which has played its part in helping Arsenal rise to their current position atop the Premier League standings.

Similarly, Courtois has proved solid for Chelsea despite missing three months of the season with injury - although his task has been made all the more difficult by the fact the champions' defence has been porous this term.

But the question still remains as to whether Cech has now shown Chelsea why they should never have let him go or whether the club's decision to make Courtois their first-choice man in between the sticks was right.

Watch Standard Sport reporters Vaishali Bhardwaj and James Benge discuss who is the better goalkeeper out of Cech and Courtois in the video above, and have your say in our poll below!
