How does the new Arsenal kit measure up? Home strips through the years

Tom Doyle21 June 2017

Arsenal fans may not yet know who the key men leading the Gunners out next season will be, but Arsene Wenger's side will at least be in their traditional red home kit for the 2017-18 campaign.

The club launched their sharp new Puma home strip in London on Wednesday morning with the help of Olivier Giroud, Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin.

There was also a potential boost for Arsenal fans as star forwards Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez featured prominently in the promotion, despite neither having yet agreed to extend their contracts beyond the summer of 2018.

But regardless of who will be lining up for Arsenal next term, the shirt has gone down well with fans on Twitter, with Puma getting praise for a smart collar and curved chest panel.

The German sports company have also ditched the darker red stripe that ran down the centre of last season's home shirt, and moved away from the black collar and sleeve piping seen on the old kit.

But the real question is, how does the 2017-18 strip compare to past versions?
