Arsenal are set to be without left-back Kieran Tierney for three months after the club confirmed he dislocated his shoulder in Monday’s 3-1 win at West Ham.

Tierney left the London Stadium with his right arm in a sling and was taken to hospital after he was forced off in the first half following a tussle with Michail Antonio.

The Scotland international faces surgery and could be sidelined until March.

Tierney has struggled for fitness since his £25million switch from Celtic last summer and the news is a blow for the Gunners.

The 22-year-old has made just 11 appearances this season and will now miss a large chunk of the remainder of the season.

Right-back Hector Bellerin will miss Thursday’s Europa League clash with Standard Liege with the hamstring injury he suffered in the warm-up on Monday.

Arsenal are hopeful Bellerin will be fit to face Manchester City on Sunday but midfielder Granit Xhaka has been ruled out of that game after suffering a concussion against West Ham.
