Standard Sport examines what we learnt from Chelsea's 1-0 Champions League win away at Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday night.

The Blues may have got the victory but they were extremely wasteful - none more so than Andre Schurrle, who could easily have had a first-half hat-trick.

There were also underwhelming displays from Sporting's William Carvalho and Nani, John Terry impressed on his 100th Champions League appearance and Diego Costa got through his second match in four days.
