Fight switch delights Takaloo

British boxer Takaloo's hopes of landing the WBO world lightmiddleweight title have been boosted with the news that his fight against Daniel Santos will be held in Cardiff.

Having encountered visa complications ahead of the fight scheduled for later this month in Puerto Rico, the contest has been switched to be the main support in Joe Calzaghe's 11th defence of his WBO super-middleweight title on 17 August against a yet to be confirmed opponent.

"I'm not scared to go into the lion's den and was happy to fight Santos in his own country but when I was told it had been moved to Wales I was over the moon," said the Margate boxer.
