Exeter Chiefs have completed their summer recruitment plans with the signing of Argentina Test wing Gonzalo Camacho from Harlequins on a two-year deal.

Camacho made 30 appearances for Quins last season and capped an impressive campaign by scoring the decisive try in their Amlin Challenge Cup final victory over Stade Francais.

The 26-year-old turned down Worcester's offer to become Exeter's ninth new signing as Chiefs director of rugby Rob Baxter looks to build on their impressive debut season in the Aviva Premiership.

"He is a very tough, competitive player - which is obviously very attractive to us - and he's shown some good form at the time he became available playing very well in a Harlequins side that was also playing very well," said Baxter.

"I believe he gives us a real strong option right across our back three. He's a really good signing for us.

"We have got some very good players now and if you look at the make-up of the squad, we look strong in a lot of areas. We have clearly moved on again from last season and there is genuinely going to be real competition for places."

Camacho is set to be included in Argentina's World Cup squad, where the Pumas will face England and Scotland in the pool stages, but he will link up with Exeter immediately after the tournament.

"I am very excited about this new experience and coming to live and play in Exeter. I have heard nothing but good things about the club and having played at the stadium in Exeter, I loved the crowd. They are crazy for the team and I love that," said Camacho.
