Efe lifts Orient hopes

Leyton Orient's injury crisis is derailing their promotion hopes but it has handed Efe Echanomi a chance.

Echanomi, 18, scored his first goal for Orient, who were missing eight senior players, in Saturday's 3-2 home defeat against Yeovil.

"Looking at it honestly he's the sixth-choice striker at the club, but he's taken his chance with both hands," said manager Martin Ling, whose side are now 11th in League Two.

Echanomi's second-half goal reduced the deficit after the visitors had taken a two-goal lead. Daniel Chillingworth then equalised, but Arron Davies netted a 77th-minute winner.
