Don't panic, Corry tells team mates

14 April 2012

Martin Corry, one of the favourites to replace injured captain Jason Robinson for the final two Six Nations games, today sounded a rallying call for an England side that has lost three successive championship matches.

Corry said: "We know we are on the right course, we don't want to be making any drastic changes. It is not a question of pushing any panic buttons.

"We have got confidence in our own ability despite the results. We have got a great team spirit and that is in no small part down to Jason Robinson's captaincy.

"What we are not doing is winning the games yet, but that will come. I am confidant."

Corry is vying with Leicester team-mate Ben Kay, Steve Thompson and out of favour scrum-half Matt Dawson to lead England against Italy and Scotland after it was discovered that Robinson would need surgery to repair ligament damage in his right hand.
