Sehwag is close to winning battle of wounded knee

Virender Sehwag is winning his battle to be fit for India's last-eight tie against Australia on Thursday.

The opening batsman missed the victory over the West Indies with a knee problem apparently caused by an allergic reaction to the painkiller he took after the defeat by South Africa on March 12.

But even though Sehwag has been struggling with his knee throughout the tournament, it is thought that the swelling will subside in time to enable him to play in Ahmedabad.
