Anya Shrubsole has said that she is 'lost for words' after her match-winning spell saw England defeat India and win the ICC Women's World Cup.
The 25-year old bowler had figures of 6-46, but it was her second spell of 5-11 which ripped through the India batting line-up and got England over the line in dramatic style.
India were set a target of 229 to win the final, and looked to be coasting to victory when reaching 191-3, but Shrubsole's heroics with the ball culminated in her take the decisive wicket when the batting team were still nine runs short.
"I'm a little bit lost for words, if I'm honest." Shrubsole said after the match.
"[It was] just an unbelievable game. It looked for a minute like we were out of it, but one of the great things about this team is we never give up.
"Alex Hartley got that vital wicket of Harmanpreet and we never looked back from there."
Captian Heather Knight was also full of praise for Shrubsole after the game, and was clearly relieved to have won England's fourth World Cup.
"All we've done in the last 18 months is to deal with situations like that," she added.
"Anya Shrubsole, what a hero! What a day!"
