India have confirmed that England will visit the country for a full tour across three venues in the country in February and March 2021.

England will play four Tests (two in Chennai and two in Ahmedabad, including one day/night game), five T20s (in Ahmedabad) and three ODIs (in Pune).

The tour begins on 5 February and ends on 28 March and is set to be played behind closed doors with the teams in biosecure bubbles.

The games in Ahmedabad will be the first internationals at the new 110,000-seater Sardar Patel Stadium.

There had been some doubts about whether the tour could take place in India because of the troubling situation with the pandemic in the country. But, rather than moving to the UAE, India have pressed ahead with the series at home.

England confirmed yesterday they are touring Sri Lanka for two Tests, before moving on to India. The squad for Sri Lanka will be named tomorrow.
