Alastair Cook smashed an unbeaten 150 for England today in their tour match against the Sri Lanka Board President’s XI in Colombo.

The 27-year-old was 163 not out on day two of the three-day clash as the visitors closed on 303 for eight in reply to the host’s 169 all out. Ian Bell’s poor form continued as he was dismissed for a duck while Andrew Strauss (40), Kevin Pietersen (39) and Jonathan Trott (16) failed to make big scores.
