Crespo pays tribute to Veron's help

Hernan Crespo believes that Juan Veron will help him adjust to life in the Premiership.

The Chelsea striker should make his full debut in tomorrow's game against Tottenham, and has his fellow Argentinian to thank for helping him to settle in so quickly.

Crespo scored in Argentina's 3-0 win over Venezuela this week and is looking forward to opening his account for Chelsea.

He said: "It is nice that Veron is here. We know each other well. I'm settling in well and looking forward to the challenge. This is a great opportunity to prove myself.

"I feel this is a new football challenge and a new social challenge. Everything is different for me but I cannot give an honest opinion because I have only trained yesterday."

Manager Claudio Ranieri has no injury worries and is likely to give Crespo his first start alongside Adrian Mutu.
