David Coulthard and Anthony Davidson must wait to find out if they will be driving for new Formula One team Red Bull Racing next year.

Team boss Tony Purnell said: "Of course there is going to be speculation about drivers but we have made no decisions. Over the coming weeks we will be testing a few fellows and I see no reason to rush. We've got an open mind."

Austrian Christian Klien is hoping to stay with Red Bull after being backed by them since he was a 13-year-old. Italian Vitantonio Liuzzi, winner of this year's Formula 3000 title for the Red Bull junior team, is another strong candidate.

However Coulthard and Davidson were the favoured pair before Ford announced in September it was selling the team.
