Coleman targets a top-half finish

Chris Coleman has urged his players to set their sights on climbing above halfway in the Premiership ahead of tomorrow's clash with west London rivals Chelsea.

"We need to push on," said the Fulham manager. "We are up to 12th now, but we want to get into the top 10 and that's what we have got to aim for."

Coleman is looking forward to a match that will be a dress rehearsal for the teams' Carling Cup quarter-final in just over two weeks' time.

"They're all big games for us in the Premiership but this is a great match to be involved in," he said. "It will be a packed stadium and there is sure to be a great atmosphere."

Both teams are in a rich vein of form. Chelsea have won their past seven matches, while Fulham have recorded four straight victories. However, Coleman is under no illusions about how difficult it will be for his team to extend that run.

"Chelsea are a terrific side," he said. "They have got a top-class defence and quality forwards, but the reason they don't concede many goals is because they keep possession of the ball so well and choose the moment to attack.

"It should be a tight game because they play the same system as us with one up front and two attacking from wide positions."

One of the Chelsea players attacking from the flanks is sure to be Arjen Robben, who Coleman rates highly. But in Tomasz Radzinksi, Fulham have their own in-form winger.

The former Everton forward marked his return to the starting line-up with two goals in the Carling Cup defeat of Nottingham Forest in midweek and he will retain his place on the right-hand side in what is likely to be an unchanged Fulham side.
