Clevedon fought back against Brymore to win 24-7 and earn a second round tiltat last year's Vase semi-finalists Churchill.

Brymore proved toughopponents and scored first through Nigel Wright. But Clevedon graduallywoke up, dominated the line-outs and with forwards and backs combining wellscore tries through James Morgan, Colin Bennett, Dan Holland and AidanBiggins.

Yeovil College and Bridgewater College threw the ball about in anentertaining game with Yeovil coming through in the late stages. Tim Eatonand David Hill scored their tries.

There was a good win, 18-3, forHartpury over Crypt while Callington are hoping for good things this seasonafter a 51-8 victory over Cornwall College.

Skipper Doug Lloyd led a slickperformance and scored three of the nine tries.

Beechen Cliff led 12-0 athalf time against West Somerset but the visitors from Minehead fought backand they required a second try from centre Peter Mead and winger Tom Carverto secure a second round home tie with Downside. Wood Green from Witneydefended well and made Oxfordshire rivals Kingham Hill work hard for their29-0 win.

Kingham dominated the line-outs and this led to tries from AdamDarbyshire, Tom Herber-Davies, Graham Chipande and Dan Eason.

DominicThompson kicked three conversions and a penalty.
